Director, Marketing

The Director of Marketing is responsible for driving customer, marketing and sales success for Omnicell’s full portfolio. This leader collaborates closely with sales, colleagues across marketing and senior leadership to ensure the value proposition for the entire set of OMCL solution and services is clear and fully realized.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage product strategy as it relates to the four P’s of marketing including segmentation analysis and customer targeting such that products are identified and positioned to maximize their revenue; Pricing strategy including bundling, value based pricing, coordinated enterprise pricing and mentoring Product Managers in their overall price setting; promotional strategy including an integrated approach to promotion setting.

  • Develops and directs high impact B2B and B2C go-to-market strategies, activities and promotions to achieve planned business objectives and growth across multiple distribution channels, domestically and internationally.

  • Gather and analyze feedback from customers, sales, marketing, development to orient solutions for widespread deployment in our markets including understanding and representing the customer’s needs, market trends and competitive activity among these segments working with market intelligence

  • Develops and communicates product messaging to customers (internal and external (pharmacies, providers, patients), journalists, and other market influencers.

  • Help drives the development of product and solution-level messages to support marketing communications content creation for collateral, customer success stories, white papers, website, and other customer and market-focused materials. Create and manage digital marketing strategy including website and social media.

  • Develops innovative sales tools and programs that equip the sales force to increase existing customer penetration and target new account opportunities and competitive conversions.

  • Manages the services of, and act as liaison between, the company and external agencies, such as PR, copywriting, graphic design, and print production vendors, to ensure timely flow of projects and to ensure that all graphic standards are met.

  • Contributes to overall budget development and oversee management of promotional and campaign budgets

  • Manage the overall product strategy as it relates to the four P’s of marketing including segmentation analysis and customer targeting such that products are identified and positioned to maximize their revenue; Pricing strategy including bundling, value based pricing, coordinated enterprise pricing and mentoring Product Managers in their overall price setting; promotional strategy including an integrated approach to promotion setting.

  • Product development and asset management including managing the product roadmap to incorporate all elements of the product lifecycle.

  • Own the comprehensive marketing plan that ensures the company’s products and technology are strongly positioned in the marketplace while leading the individual product managers in making annual product marketing plans for each of our core solutions

  • Share responsibility for product bookings with our sales counterparts, direct the product marketing team to appropriately manage all aspects of their assigned products – from well-thought-out sales forecasting to product lifecycle management, and top line product growth metrics.

  • Develop benchmarks and milestones to measure marketing efforts and performance working with Market Intelligence;

  • Individual should be comfortable making strategic executional decisions that align with divisional strategic objectives, including but not limited to:

  • Prioritization of resources between tactics, products and geographies

  • Content for internal and external communications

  • Operational best practices for customer interactions

  • Deep experience in pharmacy marketing, healthcare technology, either on the vendor or provider side.

  • Experience as a practicing pharmacist or other clinical experience.

  • Direct to Patient / Consumer marketing campaign development.

  • Experience in a startup or other highly entrepreneurial environment, as well as Fortune 500 experience.

  • Required Technical Skills and Knowledge:

  • Passion for the products and markets that Omnicell serves. Someone who inspires confidence in the Company and its products.

  • Proficiency with general office computer applications (Microsoft Office).

  • Proficiency with multiple enterprise business applications including CRM (customer relationship management), digital content management systems, financial and production systems.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in strategic and integrated healthcare marketing.

  • 2+ years’ experience as a Director of Product Marketing / Marketing for a healthcare software/ hardware company (B2B and B2C desirable)

  • Bachelor's degree (MBA or other Master's preferred) Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline from an accredited college or university

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of marketing experience within the pharmacy and/or experience with medication adherence solutions

  • 2+ years’ experience as a Director of Product Marketing / Marketing for a healthcare software/ hardware company with both B2B and B2C

  • 1+ years’ experience with Agile development processes

  • MBA or Master’s degree preferred

Work Conditions:

  • Works in an office environment sitting at a desk, table or computer workstation for extended periods of time. May travel by car, plane or other form of transportation to attend business meetings or conferences. Approximately 50-80 percent of the time spent on the job involves the use of a personal computer.

  • Travel up to 60%
