The Director of Systems Integration, is an individual contributor who applies their expertise of medication management, supply management and analytics systems and workflows to define and guide the analysis, integration, and validation for connected solutions (e.g., acute care central pharmacy, nursing, medication supply chain, and analytics solutions). During the definition phase of product development, this position works with Product Management, Product Marketing and Engineering to envision and define clinical and operational requirements for connected systems and workflows. During the development and validation phases, the Manager serves as a matrix manager to an assembled team of Systems Engineering and/or Product Validation team members to develop and execute a cross-functional plan that ensures that clinical, operational, implementation, and workflow requirements are properly understood and validated. This position resides within the Systems Engineering function of the Program Services team.Responsibilities:

  • Develop creative, customized validation strategies for product development efforts that span Omnicell’s product domains (e.g., Central Pharmacy, Point of Use, and Analytics), driving efficiencies and effectiveness in our validation approach.

  • Provide matrix-style leadership and project management to guide members of Omnicell’s Systems Engineering and Validation teams through the process of integration and validation of products that span Omnicell product domains.

  • Serve as a consultant to Product Management to identify and assess opportunities for integration of products to improve customer experience and business value of Omnicell’s product portfolio.

  • Work with product owners to review development backlogs, identify cross-product requirements and assist with allocation of those requirements to multiple product development teams.

  • Define implementation options and tradeoffs for systems-level product integration efforts.

  • Assess performance of integrated solutions and drive feedback to Marketing and Engineering teams.

  • Act as a mentor to members of the Product Validation team, sharing industry experience and best practices.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Possess expert level knowledge of the healthcare industry and pharmacy operations. Must have intimate knowledge of different models of medication and supply management and analytics, as well as operational workflows in the acute and non-acute care healthcare settings.

  • Strongly demonstated leadership qualities and proven track record of successfully coordinating and working with a variety of cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product Management, Sales and Operations.

  • Stay current on industry, technology, and healthcare policy trends affecting medication management.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with a broad spectrum of individuals, teams, and functions to drive effective collaboration and results.

  • Effectively demonstrated verbal and written communication skills to cascade information, influence decisions, and align team members, executives, and customers.

  • Self-motivated with the abilty to determine and pursue courses of action necessary to obtain desired results.

  • Ability to apply systems thinking to complex problems.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree OR previous director level experience in a company of similar industry.

  • Hands-on experience with medication management and supply workflows and products as well as experience with analytics solutions applied to a broad spectrum of customer operations.

  • Seven plus (7+) years’ experience in a product management, program management, systems integration, or validation leadership role.

  • Five plus (5+) years’ experience in a role related to pharmacy or nursing operations in a healthcare system.

  • Experienced in bringing new products to market using Agile, iterative, and stage gate methodologies.

Work Conditions:

  • Remote or office environment – Mt. View (preferred)

  • Up to 25% travel may be required to customer sites and corporate locations in US and internationally
